Members of the Eccles Club have assisted and organised the switch on of the Christmas lights in the Eccles Shopping Centre for a number of years.
This year in addition to the club’s bookswap, the Christmas Farmers Market and a Craft Fayre, we had a Victorian theme with members of the Barton Theatre Group in period costume parading through the centre while Rotarians gave out presents of balloons and books to the exited children, waiting for Father Christmas.
He duly arrived at and switched on the lights with the Barton Players. Music was provided by Salford Foundation and District Governor Colin helped the club members to give out drinks and festive food.
As well as the usual mince pies, there were of course Eccles Cakes available! For more pictures of the afternoon, CLICK here to visit the club website.
